Warner Robins, Georgia - As Hurricane Helene approaches, the City of Warner Robins is taking proactive measures to ensure the safety of its residents. The Public Works Department will provide sandbags and sand to help residents prepare for potential flooding.
Sandbags will be available for pickup on Wednesday, September 25 and Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM at the Public Works Department located at 210 Bay Street Warner Robins, GA 31088. City staff will be onsite to assist residents with filling and loading sandbags as needed.
To ensure fair distribution and accommodate as many residents as possible, there will be a limit of 10 sandbags per household.
"We encourage all residents to take advantage of this opportunity to prepare for the impacts of Hurricane Helene," said Craig Clifton, Director of the Public Works Department. "Our team is here to assist and support our community during this time."
